Late Night at the Georgian Lounge* with
Acadia Jazz Faculty (NS)

The Acadia Summer Jazz Workshop faculty is a group of nationally and internationally recognized musicians who come together to teach and perform at Acadia University in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley every summer. Driving, lyrical, outrageous and comical these musicians discover each other’s music among the eclectic corners they inhabit. Touted as “incredible” and “like nothing I’ve heard in Nova Scotia before. I can’t wait to hear this group again,” the Jazz Faculty is an exciting collaboration. Come out and experience what students and jazz lovers from across Canada get to hear in Wolfville, NS every July.
Personnel: Mark Adam (drums, Wolfville, NS), Paul Tynan (trumpet, Antigonish, NS), Dave Staples (piano, trombone, Halifax, NS), Jake Hanlon (guitar, Antigonish, NS), Tom Easley (bass, Halifax, NS), Yooni Choi (voice, New York, NY) and Mike Murley (saxo- phone, Toronto, ON) with very special guest Bobby Selvaggio (saxophone, Ohio).
*Hang out with fellow festival goers and performers at the Late Night at the Georgian Lounge, the last festival performance of each night. The kitchen stays open, the bar is stocked and you never know what will happen as visiting and local musicians relax and just hang.
